Title: Boeing 737-800 Throttle
Post by: kenrosefire on March 27, 2018, 04:02:39 PM
Hello all! As I am in the process of planning my Boeing 737-800 simulator, I have been trying to figure out an estimated cost for it and I obviously would like to keep it down. One major cost that I seem to be finding is the throttle quadrant. I would like to hear how 737 builders have gotten the throttles, both motorized and non-motorized as well as what their cost was so I can decide how I want to build or buy one. I welcome and appreciate all responses! Thank you!

I, for one, built my own and it has been working flawlessly for years now.
Serious all metal construction with clutches for real friction with no play at all.
Not motorized by choice and built on the more ergonomic 787 model  with no noisy and antiquated trim wheels.
Cost of parts: about 350$,
Hours about :100-150

Thanks Jack! It looks great! Just a quick question, how did you interface it with your sim?

Any joystick card will do
4 axis and buttons

I used linear pots and the FC1 card from FDS but  Bodnards will do as well
