Enroute to CYYR.....Mike Sherrick and Tim McSwain (who is a certified flight instructor) instructing Kate (one of his students) on the finer points of 737 avionics.....
HOORAY, GOOOOO KATE!
Happy to see more ladies in this hobby! Or, in your case, becoming a pilot!

Landing at KMSP last night....
Vince Thomas at the controls + John Ziegler giving some pointers = Perfect Landing
FYI - John Ziegler is a member of the UAL1120 crew and is a currently active commercial 767 pilot and flight instructor. We are on a learning overload right now, but great fun!

Coming into KMSP last night, DAL209 had a few minor issues. We had a catastrophic engine failure!
ATC worked with us and were incredibly professional. We didn't declare an emergency so they didn't get the impression we were trying to cut in line.
We made it down in one piece but wow!
Thanks Fred for the videos.
John being part of the crew was invaluable. He took time to tell and teach us as done in the real world. Thanks John!!
UAL1120 had a big surprise landing at WAAA.....
With Mike Sherrick and John Miller at the controls....
All was perfectly fine on the instrument approach, but when the aircraft broke below the very low ceiling...surprise....there was no runway in the scenery.
No problem though....they had carefully briefed the missed approach procedure beforehand and very calmly and professionally executed it.
Landed on the cross runway 10 minutes later.
That was almost as much excitement as landing on the dirt strip at UHSS in Russia the day prior.
Who is picking these places? I am going to have to spend the weekend cleaning the mud off the fuselage.

That's funny Fred,
Doug and I had the exact same thing happen. Went around and were vectored downwind for 13.
Flying with JZ last year was an absolute pleasure. Hopefully he can come down to SRQ when we get the band back together.
Good vids!
