I'm tying to figure out what I need for Fly Elise and from reading it seems I would need both the IDP and ICP software to edge blend 2 PJs and do the exports for XP11, P3D and DCS, is that correct?
Since I tend to change components I'm guess I would need the dongle too.....
The IDP software is a basic must.
The ICP software is not a must, but I highly recommend....It simplifies the setup, has many added features, and will provide much better results.
You really do not need the added cost of a dongle. My experience is that Fly Elise is very responsive regarding issuing license re-authorizations when necessary...simply email the new computer code to them and you will receive a new authorization code within 24 hrs. Also keep in mind that Fly Elise gives you 30 days of free software use which automatically activates on a new hardware setup.....so you will never be out of business in the interim. And also keep in mind that Fly Elise very frequently upgrades their software...you want to stay current with that and I am not sure how that exactly works with the dongle.

The dongle does not affect any update procedures, Fred.
I have one and have updated several times and not had any issues.
I changed to the dongle, as it saved me constantly harassing the Fly-Elise staff after I have upgraded my PC's which is happening twice a year at the moment.

Thanks! Lots of reading to do now
