Title: Lower EICAS monitor sideways
Post by: ScottThePilot on December 05, 2024, 02:11:34 PM
Hey guys,

While working on my other issues with FMC (will post reply soon), when starting the full SIM, the Lower EICAS screen started up turned sideways.  If I were to "rotate" the flight control/hydraulic page that is being displayed to the left (90 degrees), it would be correct.  So for now top-of-screen thinks it is on the right side.

That screen fits in-between both FMC units so it is actually installed sideways (long side up and down).

I have not gotten into the SIM since this happened but did read in the MagentaDoc that the software could be rotated.  However, I only see one reference to it when talking about positioning the GC displays.  But no other directions.  I also can't find it on the menu.  Maybe I missed it and was wondering if someone knew the procedure to rotate a given display?

Alternatively, should I go look at the orientation in Windows 7 itself to see if maybe that screen is rotated incorrectly?  Fixing that rotation if incorrect would perhaps fix the EICAS display?

Wondering best solution as I haven't messed with that stuff in years.

Thanks,
Scott

So used Windows to re-orientate the lower EICAS monitor into portrait and reposition down under the other monitors.  Applied and all fixed.

Still not sure how to do it in the PM software but easy enough in Windows.
