I'm also constructing a larger full scale flight simulator based around the current Cessna 172 with a Garmin 1000 avionics suite.

Good Morning Rhydian and welcome aboard.

Thank you for sharing your pics , unfortunately I can open only #3 out of 6
Did you use the "Additional options" feature?

Few GA builders here, good to have one more.

Welcome Rhydian. Looking forward to hear more about your project! I can only see one of your photos and I do want to see them all. Use the "Additional options" feature just at the bottom of the text window while you are making your post. Looking forward to seeing more.

Some progess. Radio unit is starting to come to life now, it's almost finished. I just need to make some transfers for the fake circuit breakers (that are actually SPST momentary buttons). Next stage would be the wiring....great! Hope to have some pictures of the MDF case that this sits in by the end of the week.

Hi,

Thanks. I wish I a had a CNC machine. Fortunately I have access to a low strength laser cutting machine at my workplace which is a big help. I taught myself CAD from a book and everything was cout out of my DXF file. The MDF pieces I had cut by a routing services company as they were too big and thick for our laser to cut. I used to use a jigsaw on my previous project but the accuracy of these machines make a real difference.

Cheers
