Title: 737 Landing Light Switches
Post by: ian@737ng.co.uk on August 10, 2010, 09:09:27 PM
g'day chaps.........
ok, i admit it, i'm just a boy who can't say no  :)
i went to Revolution Simproducts in Paris recently to collect my 2nd rudder pedal kit and saw these.
737 Landing Light Switches and Caps.   i was smitten and ordered a set there and then.
just got home from a short vacation to find a package waiting for me.
these are beautiful quality and machined in all aluminium.    i'm very pleased with them.
what Eren's done is fit the caps to security switches so the toggle doesn't rotate.    he's supplying them in
2 position (for the fixed landing lights) and 3 position with centre (for the retractables).
priced at 35 euros per switch kit or if you've got the switches, he will sell you the caps on their own.
have a look www.revolution-simproducts.com (http://www.revolution-simproducts.com) for more info and contact details.

Its braille, so our blind pilots can find the lights.  :)

Sorry Ian
Hope you were not offended..I did  let my black side take over!!!

I know anyway that nothing can spoil your pleasure, certainly not my "gut" comments on Boing design sanity...!

Very nice piece indeed...

...well for a three nipples gizmo ..

...could be worse.

 ;D

That's partially correct.

It's actually so they can be operated without having to look up to find them. They are typically not turned on until short final and in some of those cases you don't want to be taking your eyes off the instruments to be fumbling around looking for a switch.

Those were in the days before auto-everything.

of the dust........
