LCD vs DLP

I've always used DLP projectors and been happy with them. But noticing that short throw LCD ones are around now and with 3000+ lumens.

Just wondering if anyone has experience with these.. how do they compare with the DLPs? I'm aware of the night-flying issues with LCDs but haven't looked at this for a few years, wondering if they've improved since then.
