Integrating an encoder in a bezel

From a Euro forum:
Using a mouse wheel micro encoder with a bodnar card
Could be used to set the baro on the 737 standby alti.
Pictures are self-explaining.

Wow..  See Jack there is a perfect example of someone trying to think outside the box.  I Love it.  Simple MDF and Paint and you can make yourself a nice bezel. 

I would like to see a picture of that when he is finished.

I used a PEC11R encoder with pushbutton for my stock FDS bezel.  I cut out the back of the bezel just a bit with a hobby knife and the encoder pops right in at a 45 degree angle.

I then cut the perspex to fit, and sandwiched the whole thing with another piece of perspex.  Even used the included knob.

It's all hooked up to my Pokeys and works great.  Right now the pushbutton serves to toggle between inches and millibars.
