Hello everyone! A strange behavior has appeared for seemingly no reason in my full cockpit 747 sim.
On takeoff (any airport) as soon as my landing gear leaves the runway - it retracts automatically. :o
I thought it had something to do with "speed" but it does not matter what speed I take off at - it still retracts automatically.
This just started a few days ago, when before I could raise the landing gear via the lever - manually.
The 2 clues which may help in resolving the issue are:
1) This behavior started after I tried some different sound packages for the plane.
2) This behavior only happens on first take-off. Meaning - If I land and take off again, then it stays down until I raise it manually myself.

Something must have changed in one of my CFGs, but after much troubleshooting I am not able to find the problem.
Has anyone experienced anything similar? Or does anyone have any idea about what it is causing this?
Any help is much appreciated!!

Mark.

What software are you using? Do you start from a saved flight?

I've had the same issue. I have to start my sim from a saved flight so all the windows are in the correct place. I changed the saved flight that I'm using to startup and haven't had the gear problem since. I suspect that the file I was using may have had some issue with it.

Thank you for the hint Kyle. You bring up something interesting.
As I have been testing my new Immersive display pro warping software the last few days - hence starting my flight from the runway. I will try to start my flight from the gate (as I did before) and see if the problem goes away. I think you are onto something!
thank you, mark.

Unless you have an addon aircraft model you are using. This behavior would occur where your landing gear is 'up' when on the ground. In standard flight sim if the landing gear is lifted when on the ground it does not retract, but as soon as the wheel leave the ground it goes up to it's selected position. Perhaps there is a conflict, or as been said you are on a saved flight with that setting without you realising.

It sounds like your software is not reading the current state of the lever when you first load the sim. I would create a new startup sequence and save it and see if that makes any difference.
