PMDG 738 FMC Star and Sids issues??? Help!

Hey all, I am trying to program my flight plan into the PMDG FMC and I am having issues trying to plug in my sids and stars for Bradley intl Coastl3 (any departure) departure and when I look on the RTE page it shows "Vectors To" and when I have tried to fly it I just continue in a straight path out or the airport... What do I have to do in order to make this work.. I also get the same thing in my arrivals where ever I decide to fly into..  I also was wondering if I make a mistake like adding in the Stars and Sids how do I delete them out of the FMC?     Thank you all for the help..
