Thanks Maurice

Video doesn't do justice to the scenery or the five 40" led tv external view. But gives a flavour of whats possible with wideview and tv's instead of PJ's.

Sim still very much a work in progress, but getting there!!

These are 40" TVs only? It looked to me like they were 50+" at least.

Since you can already fly with what you have now, the commonly held advice is to try & keep it flyable while you continue building. This makes the work less daunting since you can enjoy the fruits of your labour along the way :)

Looks awesome Mark!

looks like your wideview is syncing nicely too.   Would you mind posting some screenshots of your server and client configs?

My wideview settings are default (out of the tin)  My fsx settings are as per this great guide by Kostas  http://kostasfsworld.wordpress.com/fsx-software-and-hardware-guide/

I found i had stutters before i used the above setup. I have followed the guide exactly and my pc's are running locked at 30 fps. You do still get the odd stutter etc but no more than you would on a standalone pc.

All clients I5 (4.2GHZ) with Nvidia 670gtx,  Server I7 (4.00GHZ) with 670gtx again.  I haven't tried the system with the server not showing any views yet, i may experiment at a later date, but as Rhys and Andrew from this forum will confirm the visuals are very fluid, even in bad weather.

i can still post the configs for you but dont have them available at the moment.

cheers

Nope, 40" it is. Wish they was 50". Waiting for 5x 60" to come up in the sales some time, would be just right : )

(never satisfied us sim builders!)

Very nice setup.  Does anyone knows if the 60 inches LED can be take out of the case and to join all 5?
Cheers

You can get 60" with very thin bezels but uber expensive at the moment!

Thanks!

I am having tuff time with the size if the room.
I can't have more than 6 feet arc radius.
Cheers

Looking good mark!

I regularly fly mark's sim and its pleasure to fly. The visuals are excellent and I think the 40" TVs work brilliantly and his have a normal size bezel and when I'm flying you still can't see it.

Also I must say its one of the smoothest and most stable FSX setups I have ever witnessed too!

Rhys.

One wheel landings, tail scrapes... just doing my best!!
737 classic sim. Xplane 10 64bit on 3 i5 pc's. FDS IBL overhead, FDS CDU's & CCU's, Simvionics Panels, CP Flight MCP/EFIS, engravity & homemade MIP, prosim737, project magenta, GLB interior panels.
