Hello,

Maybe this will sound really stupid to the majority of the builders, but I'm having serious troubles to find a couple of monitors to fit both upper and lower EICAS on a Poldragonet MIP.

Which monitor sizes are you using? I have a 15" but it's too high and covers the flaps gauge. Ideally I would like to have EICAS monitor to visualize also the two left stand-by instruments (I guess widescreen). Took a 16" 16/10 but it's too big and hits the gear lever..
For the lower EICAS it seems also more complicated, as I have the two CDU aside and the ideal screen would be approximately square..

Any advice is appreciated,

Thanks a lot,

Fausto

Have you removed the panel from the casing for the upper EICAS?  I have a Dell 15" without the casing and it a tight fit.

For the lower EICAS you are stuck looking for a 10" and rotating 90 degrees (unless you spend much more on a custom or special screen).

Yes I removed the panel.

The monitor is an old one and it's 4/3, I guess the right one is 16/9, the height should be smaller and more or less same width.

Does the 10" really fit the lower EICAS in the Poldragonet MIP? Which model do you have there?

Thanks in advance for your help!

HI faust,

I don't have a poldragonet, but most of the MIPs are built to fit the 10".

It's all really a matter of trying out different models.  Measure the space, then check monitor specs.  eBay is your friend on monitors.  All five monitors I use in my MIP, my instructor station, and my EFB were all bought on eBay for about $10 each.

If all else fails, ask Poldragonet what they recommend.

I finally bought this one for the lower EICAS.

Hopefully it will fit.

Do you have a 16/9 screen for the upper EICAS? I had a look in eBay but I find 4/3 15" which doesn't fit. Which model do you have exactly?
