I have a number of B747-400 overhead instruments for my SIM. Check it out....

Goodenough

I don't know why the pics are upside down. I know I wasn't hangin from the ceiling when I took these....anyways here are more pics of my B47 build

Trevor Hale

Sorry but no. Nothing I can do about your pics.

It's all good though. No worries.

You could try rotating them and reattaching them but it's no big deal

Very cool ..just curious how you going to get that complex ignition plate to work?...I assume you are using PSX ..if not IMHO you are wasting your time noticed that you going down path of real stay on that path you can thank me later :-).

Goodenough

Not interested in getting those to work. the overhead is really just for show. Now My MIP that's another story

bernard S

Okay then ... you have the ignition panel that's just for smiles .. that's  good enough ;-)

jackpilot

Nice parts Perry
No rusch , one day when your sim will be more complete, you will be tempted to do it.
I had nice OEM pedestal parts installed but not interfaced, and one by one I do it...takes time
Go with your own priorities ! ;D

Thank you for your feedback. yep its not high on the priority list as I'm trying to focus primarily on getting the MIP working with screens.

Thanks for feedback Hans and Bernard, Here are some more pics, and I know some are dark. Here a few more pictures that turned out not so dark.

i see once again you going for real as opposed to simulated ..are you sure you dont want to get them operational my view your nuts and a flavoured bag of crisps if you dont ..in particular the fire module panel as thats one of the few panels that you want to be tactile..whats stopping you from.doing so .1. afraid you will stuff iy up ( and i get that ) 2. dont know how to do it (been there) 3. you need a schematic... unless you got them from Jeff and they ,already for a sim..but if that so then you need pinout .. you have to make at least light up !!!! If the MIP is real it looks to me that it is .. then to get LCDs in there you will have to reposition the brake hydrulic guage on P1 side and also the CRT select panel ...On the P2 side its a tad more comolex because of GPWS plate you still have to relocate the CRT select there too ... If you had of purchased the TQ it would mate up to MIP and four pots to get that working swop out ac mitor for dc motor and bingo auto throttle ..2 wires for speed brake and a pot for flaps.. and micro switch for park brake no need for plastic MCDUs real ones you can get to work too

can ya tell i like real parts yet :-)))... dont bother with simulated parts you will only end up getting rid of them this applies to 74 as i know nada about 73

ps closer expection of pics says the MIP is not real not but rudder pedal adjusts posts are.now you need foot rests again if you had real the posts just slot in ;-) plus real mip has hand grips in glate very handy  only for seat adjust..but also toe brakes

Goodenough

Hey Bernard thanks for the comments. Not sure I understand? I'm sorry could you explain what you mean by pots...thanks

bernard S

ah..now i understand exactly  where you are at with your knowledge and relax it does not make you a plonker everybody has been there :-) you have a lot of work ahead of you and a 74 is a major project in someways the easiest and in others the hardest but its going to cost big bucks whichever way you go forward plus years not months to complete ..all that mumble aside it appears to me that you have lots of homework to do ..pots are potentiometers.

potentiometers..are pots

Goodenough

OK thanks Bernard, yes it appears that I have much work to do...

bernard S

okay now you know what one looks like

1.   understand how it works
2.   understand how to set one
3    understand how to wire one
4    understand how it interacts with your software

pot lesson over with :-)
