Anyone out there using SimWorld gauges in a Windows 10 environment?
I recently began having repeated disconnects of the Simbox and I can't use my flap gauge anymore.
I have emailed back and forth with Filip and we suspected my flap gauge might be the problem. I got a replacement gauge, built a new 5v power cable and changed the power supply. The gauge is fine now but still getting a repeated disconnect of the CAN controller. I re-installed the Simbox Drivers ("human interface device" and "usb device" drivers) and the Simbox worked for a short time and began disconnecting again.
I plugged the Simbox into a windows 7 computer and it STAYS CONNECTED!!! Problem is my computer where the box must be connected in the Sim is W10.
Anyone else having issues with the Simbox and W10?

Yes Kyle....I should have stayed with Windows 7 in the first place!!  >:(

Thanks
Craig

Hi Craig,

I haven't run W10 much on my system but when we ran it back in November is was staying connected, one issue with Simbox is that if ProSim is not running the USB connections disconnects and reconnects all the time, it was doing this also on W7, once ProSim start stays connected,

Caflyt

Thank you Sam. I do have ProSim up and running when the disconnects occur.
It is just so frustrating. I have replaced my Sim box once already because of an issue like this about a year and a half ago.
I just can't understand what the problem could be, it's just random and it just started all of a sudden.

Hey Craig, as Sam said, his disconnect and reconnects all the time including sometimes crashing Prepar3d when loading, but as long as pro sim is running it manages to stay connected.  I hope you find the solution cause its very frustrating.

Please keep us updated.

Sam,
Yeah, mine will mostly stay connected while Prosim is running but not 100% reliable.

Kyle,
Yes I have read many topics referring to usb disconnect and have taken all the steps outlined. Including disabled the selective power shutdown etc.

Trevor,
Yes now mine is doing exactly that.....seems to stay connected while Prosim is running but immediately starts the "disco" dance after shutting down Prosim.

I am not getting good answers from SimWorld now but I do think their controller firmware is outdated and can't cope with W10.

I hope they will listen and investigate this.
Holding my breath.

Keep in mind, Sam's was doing the same with windows 7.. Not just a windows 10 thing.  Not sure why it can hold the connection while its active and not just all the time.  It really sucks LOL

My guess, a Windblows 10 update is the culprit! I despise Windows 10.
