Edge Blending Blockers?

Hey Everyone,

Public Surplus has a simulator listed, but that's not what this post is about. Instead, it's about what I see in the pics of the ad.

Looking at the projection setup, I see, what looks like, 4 blocking strips in front of the projectors. Has anyone ever done or seen this before? From my guessing, I think they're using these blockers to knock out the blending lines somehow.

If you are using a butted projection setup you can block out the overlap region by using "blinders" like that.  Works great for night flying....no lighter-shaded overlap region.

Jon Boe was experimenting with that concept using magnets to hold small steel plates in place....easy to make fine adjustments.

This has been on my to do list for some time now.  It would be easy enough to implement in my sim since I have my projectors mounted on rails to be able to adjust forwards/backwards position.  So I simply have to fabricate such an assembly to mount on the rails in front of the projectors.

easy enough to do.  I need to get off my butt and do it.  It is a very good idea!
