Hi.

I am trying to use a OEM yaw damper switch with ULN2803A darlington driver.

If i can get a korry light to work, shouldent i get the switch to work aswell.

Hos have you hooked up switches like this one?

I can get it to work if just hooking it up to my PSU, but i need to control it. Relay maybe?

jackpilot

Switches with a solenoid have to go through a relay card

Hm... Relays are really a pain.
Even when powering the relay with external power when i close the circuit so the yaw damper turns off there is a delay om like 500ms when my korrys goes dark and then comes back alive. How is this even possible.

Hope my digitalReads wont be affected by this (but of course i know the answer to that)

How do you have it wired?  these switches use a holding coil, so you need the coil energised for the switch to remain in the On position.  If there is no power to the coil, then the switch will not stay in the on position, and / or drop back to the off position

Terminals 7 & 8 are usually the ones for the coil.  As usual, dont forget the flyback diode. :)

It works, just that when shutting off its like all power shuts of for around 500ms. I will make a video of this later tonight. :)

Just a small video of the problem. If it dont affect my digital readings of my switch i will let this one pass, i just dont like that i dont understand why this flicker is happening.

It is about 10 sec in the clip when the Yaw damper switches off. All is working with the switch, just dont know why my Korrys flicker.

Please make a schematic of your setup.

Otherwise it will be difficult to provide assistance on this one.
