Hello,

I have the Engravity desktop kit and I want to interface my led's to my mastercard from oc. I'll use 2 led's from 1 output for each annunciator. Will this cause a problem ?

What do you think is the best solution to connect the led's the easiest way ? I saw some guys doing it directly to the cards or via pcb's. What is the easiest solution to connect the led's to my oc cards ?

Can I use any type of led ? Is there something I should have a look when buying led's ? Do I have to use resistors ?

Thank you,
Maxime.

Hi Maxime,

you can put two LED's directly to an OC output (with a resistor !!).

The value of the resistor depends on the data of the LED's:

fall of voltage (Ud)
Current (I)

R1=(Usum - 2xUd)/I

Usum is the voltage of the OC-Output, it is 5V.

I hope this helps
Uwe
