Dummy CDU backlighting

Just a test but results are  good.
LED strips  on a piece of coroplast.
Orange film behind the keys.
Note, placement can be adapted but backlighting is already fairly even ( the digital camera picks up differences in intensity and color that are not noticable to the naked eye.)

Easy to make , took me 45mn.

Jeeze Jack, those look awesome..  DId you just solder up the SMD LEd's yourself?  What a neat idea.

Search Led strip on Ebay
15 feet rolls around $25
You can cut them by sections of 3 leds minimum.
Peel off sticky at the back.
Just need to link them when cut (green wire soldered + to + and - to - then apply 12v at one end.)
Any shape possible.
As long as you keep them about ½ inch away from the panel, backlighting is pretty even.
