Hi,

Maybe this might be a familiar software already but I thought I could still share this with you all.

As you might know, we are running our Cessna sim outside view in only one fully back-zoomed front
outside virtual cockpit view. The problem have been that the 0.31 zoom is not giving you full 180"-degree
outside view. Maybe with this small freeware program it is now possible:

There is also another way to zoom out even further for the 180 degree view
using FSUIPC and the zoommaster dll. If you use the NTHUSIM you can correct
the fish-eye effect on the building. I have attached it. Just rename to
from.dllx to dll and put in your fs9/ modules folder.

I haven't tested it yet though.

Best regards,

It's great that you've brought this up. After moving the  3 projectors, adjusting for the correct 3-view setup with NTHUSIM, it still leaves a little more desire...that being frame rates.

Anyway you look at it, 3 views (with an unseen fourth background view) draws the frame rate down a lot. Sure more computer power could fix this, but if the computer we're using can hit 40-100 fps with all the add-ons in a single view, why not use it this way. Right now, we're just using the uncorrected single view zoom backed in VC mode; until we rebuild an I7.

So, that means we're not using the 180 degree correct views, but come to think of it, most of our time is inside the cockpit dealing with the MIP, CDU and other hardware eyecandy. Thus, we're less concerned with the visual eyecandy for now.

However, if this file works for FS2004, will it work for FSX. We're going to give a shot and see what happens... Thanks for providing the information.

How about the F1view utility.

this is for fs9. and it works great.

and AVSIM. Search for filename wheelcam_1_setup.zip in the FSX Utilities

This file doesn't work for FSX. Knew it was for FS9, but gave it a shot... Any chance this can be written for FSX by the author?

Uh, just had a Brain Cramp!

Can't this be done just by editing the FSX .FLT file for the VC camera view and the zoom factor for [Window 1] and change it to the zoom factor your using with this .dll file? What is the zoom factor set at in the second view of your pictures.

Your first uncorrected view is 0.31, but do you know what the corrected view actually is at now (it's zoom value)?

Played with zoom in VC, that looks really wrong on three projectors... OP are you using 1 projector or multiples?

Hi,
The aspect ratio in my sample pictures suck. It is just a print screen from a home cockpit screen.
We haven't tested it yet in the final sim computer /curved screen. Even the normal 0.31 printscreen looks awful in the printscreen although it is OK in the sim screen.
