Hey Gents,

I'm looking for an MCP and two EFIS's for my pit.

The Opencockpit ones look very cheap, but it appears that you can only run one EFIS???? They also look to have backlighting.

Anyway, I'm in two minds about it. I know that the CP Flight ones are the go, but are they that much better and why?

I already have a Go Flight MCP and EFIS, but it's not really good enough to put in the pit. Will the Opencockpit's one be the same?

Thanx for any help on the subject,

Frank

Very hard o give you the perfect answer without posing a judgment
You have to set your priorities between price, performance, compatibility and look.
It is all written in the tech description
All these pieces of hardware work  fine, check the pictures too,and compare with the real one. some have a different look.

Frank,

Years ago we faced the same situation and in the end purchased the FDS MCP/EFIS units that are no longer sold. They're just like CP Flight ones and in fact, when looking at CP Flight's website, the only difference is the led color; theirs looks blue on the website page.

So, Opencockpits (OC) is good also, but take a look at CP's list of compatiabilty sim models listed and then look at OC's...suggest you save your money for CP flight MCP737PRO and two EFIS737PRO units.

Thanx for the tip, BSD.

In fact, I shot an email off to Peter Cos and he has suggested that I use my GoFlight units for now, until they start producing the JetMax range of MCP and EFIS's.

It's a great idea, as I'd like to stick with a company that's producing such good quality components and so active in the flight sim community.
