My cockpit is not finished but flyable.
I do fly it and enjoy.
Today I plugged back my AURA cushion which was collecting dust somewhere else.
Thin cushion integrated in the back part of the seat "massaging" your spine with all sort of vibes. Other sounds basically do not go through.
The difference with a no vibe (or no buttkicker) environment is amazing .
A very reasonnably priced item which adds so much to the experience.
High priority!
Had to share that re-discovery! ;)

Hey Jack,

I don't understand, I thought it's a cushion with a transducer in it. Will you plz post a few pics of yours, as I'd really like to see it. Currently, I have a Butt Kicker attached to the Capt's Ipeco seat on the lower rear panel. It works just great, but I am curious about your cushion design...

I've had this item on my shopping list for a long time now but I've procrastinated while dealing with various problems. I was planning to mount it underneath the floor since I think the vibrations would transmit quite well to the seat. Just debating whether I should get one or two.

By the way, I was planning the use the amplifier from my Butt Kicker. I tried installing the Butt Kicker to my seat but it was horrible since there are all kinds of noisy seat vibrations & rattles which had nothing to do with airplane sounds so I took it off and never did anything with it. But the amplifier should work quite well the Aura I think.

This may sound a little silly however you guys should considering mounting something like this in or near the glare that is only powered when the airplane is on the ground. That thing rattles and makes more noise during takeoff than anything inside that cockpit. Also make sure to have a few loose quick turn screws  so they rattle as well! :)

Would be a cool effect to have it rattling during the takeoff roll to suddenly become silent when you liftoff.  Would be just like airplane!

Actually Mike, that as not as hard to do as you might think! I use PMSounds to do just that when the plane gets airborne all the bumping and rattling stops!

This is what I have been using for vibrations...

Tactile Transducer...

You should put one of them under every seat.

Hope it helps,

John:
Not manufactured anymore. About 2X1' and 3"thick with its own amp.separate.
Was a gamer gadget but surprisingly effective.
Ask Aura, maybe they have one in their museum  :D

Mau:
Combined with your visuals (which are exceptional and not to be messed with.. ::) the vibes would restore your flying enthusiasm!!!
I read a test where they say that the Aura is more subtle than the steroid buttkicker.

Mike
You are right but I suspect that our non aero rated front end electronics would not appreciate the treatment.  :-[
