Had my checkride for Instrument yeaterday and passed.

Spent 31.4 hours under the hoood in the last week between the C172 and the M20P.

Celebrated by getting my final 1.7 hours in the club Mooney for a Complex Endorsement and meeting the COmmercial and Insurance requirements in the Mooney.

Next weekend I'm headed to Traverse City for a Seaplane rating in a PA-12 on floats!

Congrats John!!  Enjoy it, was my favorite rating to get! And remember.. Use it or loose it meaning make sure you keep your skills up when you can. Not that i have to remind you cause your in a sim building forum :)

Thanks all!

Checkride wasn't as bad as I had been told it was, but I feel a lot more confident now.  Seaplane and Mulit engine yet to go this month.

Next I'm splitting 50+ hours of block time in a Twin Comanche and doing some coast to coast long weeknds before starting my Commercial work and checkride in January.

The CFI / CFII / MEI by April.

Then I just need to catch up to Mike's hours so i can get some TPIC time :)

Scott,  maybe I should fly the Mooney over to KARR sometime to see your new setup?

Anytime John,,
that would be great.   I am a 5 minute drive from KARR as my house is about 3 miles off the RWY 27 approach :-)  I could come over and pick you up.

Doing my seaplane rating this weekend in a PA-12. Damn thing is twenty years older than me.

So far I hate gutsy winds in a twitchy rudder airplane. But I have about 15 landings
