That looks great and thanks for the hard work you did in setting this up. Now that I am just about to start the fabrication of my cockpit, having built and tested all the modules, I cannot wait to start on the CB`s as well. Your piccy is very encouraging

Very nice!

I haven't even looked at my set yet.  Still in the box and shipping tube.
What are you using as the panels?

Nice work jack! Are the cb's themselves homemade?
One wheel landings, tail scrapes... just doing my best!!

OMG! Talk about ironic, I got mine out of the tubes and cut them into singles just this morning before going to bed! They've been rolled since I got them, but last night I thought of them, and that was before seeing Jack's post. So, Jack you must've been sending out serious brain waves last night...

How did you cutout or drawout your plexi first? Are you drilling holes post sticking the decals? What size drill bit for the dummy CB's? I have the same ones from FDS like you. And, are you going to back light them, as well as use piano hinge? Local hardware stores sell piano hidge strips and we could just paint them.

As we all have the same sets here are my hints

I had the decals professionnaly set on lexan ¼ sheets (lexan does not crack and easy to drill)
I drilled holes in the center( as close as possible) of each CB location and used the screws supplied. Drill bit same size as screws,
Takes time, do a panel a day.

Backlighting: possible with the decals.
Will not do (as not realistic) but more because it is much simpler.

Rhys: sold by FDS

Hi Jack,

Can't see these on FDS site (CBs), they also used to have the Boeing knobs etc at good prices; they seem to be missing as well...

Any ideas?
