I've searched around other threads for suppliers for the following spec but not having much luck. Quite a few of the links provided are for priducts not available anymore.

What I'm looking for is 10.4" (or near) LCD display, touch not required, 1024x768 res, brightness 400+, either in a slim bezel case (plain as possible), or an open frame design (i.e. no bezel) .. oh and $200 or below! .. might be asking too much but...

Might have to settle for 800x600 .. just hoping that res isn't too low for EICAS display

Have searched abay and aliexpress but keep coming up with combinations I don't want.. or ones that are ok but with low brightness or dodgy viewing angle specs (like '12 oclock' .. omg).  So much chinese product it's hard to know what you're looking at!!

Can anybody recommend a current product or supplier?

thanks

There are plenty of those, but wide angle is not cheap.
Hi-res (1024x768) is not required at all for EICAS and such small screens.

I have this one myself for my ECB (mounted vertical) :
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/10-4-multi-function-LCD-monitor-Model-TVG-104/287621543.html
Native res = 800x600, but accepts a 1024x768 signal.  ( Does not mean you will get 1024x768 pixels though :-)) )

This is a cheapo screen, but good "bang for the bucks".
Liliput makes expensiver ones with better specs if you like to forge out more cash  ;D

I just want to jump in here and throw out an idea i am considering to be critiqued. I am just starting to think about my lower eicas here in the last few days and came up with this and then just now saw this thread. I have a table of standard screen H x W sizes for 4:3 and 16:10. It shows 12" 4:3 monitors to be 9.6 x 7.3 inches actual screen size. I am going to try using this turned vertically. It may be just a touch tall but if a person has ability to sneak or undercut some breathing room under their MIP, the top of the LCD can jut upwards if even necessary at all. What I have done to make things more low profile in all dimensions is to take all of my monitors (standard desktop LCDs) and just remove the actual LCD panel and driver from the case so it leaves you with the most possible screen real estate and least possible border. I am hoping the raw lcd border comes in equal or less han my bezel once out of the case. It might be tight so this may bring us back to the 10" scenario. Part b of this idea is that I have seen some elo point of sale industrial 12" LCD mons on ebay(also many cheap consumer grade), some used for reasonable prices. I have not looked at specs but a lot of times these harder core industrial strength monitors have wider view angles and brighter mcd/ratios etc. oh, also 12"/4:3 is usually 1024 pixel too just for extra bump that's not really needed but there. Anyway, just an idea I haven't executed but am planning to try and might be worth researching on your end too...
