Hi,

I just want to share a super economy Steering Tiller mechanism solution I have installed and working nicely  ;D
The tiller itself is a nice replica from Routek in Romania, the mechanism is a Thrustmaster Car Steering Wheel mechanism.
I just detached the "Car Wheel" from the housing and modified the axis a bit to fit the Routek Tiller Handle.
Also it needed a small 60 mm rod attached to the axis + 2 rubber "bungees" to beef up the resistance to Boeing 737 standard.  ;D
The Thrustmaster "3 in One" is available very cheap - below 60 US $ here, sturdy construction, small size and gives you the mechanism + a ready USB interface.

edit:
Like Kresimir says below - important that the gear is "selfcentering", the bungees only adds more resistance.

Björn,

Wow, that was a good idea.

I will have to remember that!

Thanks

search on ebay for old usb steering wheels, were the gearshifter at the wheel are broken. You will get them for 1€. important is that they are self centering
tiller replica on it with a bold and ready is the low cost tiller ;D
