Playing around with the base a bit before Scott comes with some goodies. Looking at the back of the MIP, I realize how much wiring I have left to do...yikes.
Less than 4 years to retirement......

Enjoy the construction.
Following the designs by Maurice and John, I made the platform in 5 sections as per attached.
Very nice fit for the FDS nose section.
The 'middle' 3 sections are as wide as the MIP base and slide in and out.

I'm impressed Anthony!  Congratulations on the progress!

This is where I hope to be in a few months.  I like the "modular" idea for your base, as this could pay off down the road if serious maintenance and/or upgrades are required.

Whose EIFIS/MCP are you using?  How long did it take to receive them?

Following the leaders is a good idea.  Maurice, Scott, and others certainly help to set the direction.  Many thanks guys.

Best wishes in the New Year!

Thanks Mike,

I have the CP Flight MCP EL model. I have not bought the EFIS yet but I will still buy the CPFlight Pro ones. Delivery was within 10 days. It was the fastet delivery yet of all the sim parts ;)

Thanks

Lucky you John.
I still have to plan for liners, seats, TQ, FMC, EFIS, Yokes, Pedals, OH Frame, OH itself, etc. List goes on. BUT, I can still fly with this makeshift setup. That 22" monitor in the view looks rather embarrassingly small though ;) but it has a side effect: gave me an idea of what 50" LCD TVs would look like if placed properly around the nose.
