Many readers will remember Aerowinx's 747-400 stand alone sim that was DOS based. It appeared 1998 and lasted until about 2005 despite becoming harder and harder to use in a Windows environment.  The creator, Hardy Heinlin, initially did not plan to do a Windows version but for the past 6 years has been working on a new version that hopefully will be released this fall.

The  PS 1.3 was so accurate that real world 747-400 pilots used it for personal training and self development.  The drawback for simmers was the very limited and tiny scenery window. But those who used it didn't care because scenery depiction was not important for why they bought it.

Here is a couple of links to give you an idea of what it looks like. And the program can now be ported to X-Plane and FS X's scenery if you want.

I'll have the new PS X available by the middle of next week.  This program isn't for everyone and a lot of interest is being shown by real-world 747-400 pilots who can use it for training purposes.

I'm hoping to keep the cost at CAD $ 399.00 plus applicable taxes (depends where you live) and shipping.  A lot will depend on the Canadian dollar/Euro exchange rate.

If you are interested let me know....airsim@flightplus.ca or call toll free, 1-866-662-0985 within North America.
