Floor standing 737 Yoke?

I am in the market for a realistic looking floor standing 737 yoke.

Ideally reasonably priced.!

Any suggestions , sites etc?

Hi Mark,  This has been beaten to death, maybe try a search!  Unfortunately there is only one choice that I know of, and I wouldn't go there with a 100' pole.  Maybe see if FDS sells one, that would be a start.

I got linked yokes from Simujabs, he also does free standing singles.
Excellent guy and product, It can take a while to get delivered - but he is quite up front about that

Hi Mark this forum has lots of references to yokes lol. Flypfc is a great product as well. Bob Reed actually has these yokes. And so does Sam Llorca.

I used PFC for a while and they are great, I'm selling mine now since I  upgrade  to real columns.
Part #: JCY-S-serial port.  It can easily be converted to USB or you can use an serial to USB adapter.
I have both setups, single seater and dual linked with platform including rudder pedals.

Most of this has already been covered, but I feel like Santa tonight.

To start, I have dual linked Ace yokes.  I was lucky.  I got them two months behind schedule a long time ago.  Great yokes.  No real complaints with the product.

PFC - great product but not meant to be 100% authentic.  If you aren't concerned with being exact, your best bet.
ACE  -the general standard for the yokes, but the customer service is unreliable.  If you have the time to wait...  a lot of time...  best deal.
Simujabs - been in the business longer than most, doesn't really advertise and depends on word of mouth.  I have never heard a complaint about the product, or the service.  If I had to do it again, I would go with simujabs.

With all that said, others also offer yokes.  It is rumored that flybycockpits will be offering yokes so it might be worth dropping them an email.  Northern Flight Sim also offers yokes, although I haven't heard much from them lately.

What Warren says is pretty much it. Although, I do not have some of those items he listed, I do have a dual linked yoke and pedal platform, a two set of non-linked PFC Yoke and Pedals (Capt & FO sides), as well as a real B727 cockpit with the yokes and pedals all still there. So, for ease of use, getting the PFC, ACE or Simujabs aftermarket types is a great choice.

However, if you want real items, you first must find them and then figure out how to link and install them into your sim. Generally, linking requires rasing the cockpit or having under floor space, whereas, the aftermarket items would not need it. Okay, that depends on your setup, but look at this:

Of course these cost nearly $7,000 and it's just the pedals. You could get real yokes and pedals for that price...or close to it from places like here:

If you look through Nick's listings he even has the crossover tube for the yokes, which makes them dual linked... Now, it sounds like I'm trying to convince you to not get the real stuff, but that's not the case. I'm just telling you the differences and the costs to help you make the right, long term, choice. Me personally, I'd choose real items, but that's just me.

Oh, do use the search engine here on Cockpit Builders, as it's a good one. Or, just click on the names of the people who have the most postings, those are the ones who have been around a while, and they likely posted about many topics you'll be seeking. Of course, you will have to read through their postings, which is good too because you'll get to know them by how and what the post.

What can I say other than thanks and I love it when santa is about :-).  The information you provided was really useful.

After looking a bit more into the options, I see to have come to the following conclusion... Do I:-

1. Get a NEW PFC for possibly £1200 (delivered to UK and import duty)
2. Get a NEW Simujabs for delivered for £755 + import duty
3. Get a NEW ACE delivered for approx £1000 + import duty
4. Get a 2nd Hand ACE for approx £800 that's done 100 hours

Which do you all think is the better option taking into consideration the following:-

- Price
- Build Quality / Durability
- Compatibility with FSX and Jetmax 737
- Generally which is the best option!

I would say that your choices are down to simujabs and the second hand ace yoke.  I would worry about the 100 hours.  Ali has used top-notch components that will last thousands of hours.

Customer service is hit and miss with Ali (Ace yokes), while Pedro of Simujabs has a great reputation for standing by his products.

Not sure what the lead time is from Pedro to build the yoke, while the second hand Ace is available now.

They are all compatible with FSX, X-Plane, P3D...  no issues.  A joystick card is a joystick card.

If those are the prices you were quoted, the difference is negligible.  You can probably talk the Ace yoke down to 755 if that is the issue.  At this point it is really about the extras, the look, and the service.  The Ace yoke probably has the clipboard, not sure if the simujab one does or not but that may be something that you can work out with Pedro.

Bottom line, I'd pull up pics of both and start comparing but at the end of the day, as I said in my original post, I would go with Simujabs, and source a clipboard for the 45 Euro I saved.

I assume you mean 'wouldn't worry' about the 100 hours.

I think the ACE one is likely to be a more solid yoke and a closer replica then?

But with simujabs I would get a new yoke

Time to start scratching my head over this one.

Sorry, yes.  I wouldn't worry about the 100 hours.  The ace yoke is solid.  I just took mine apart and can attest to that.  With that said, one of the cast aluminum pieces inside my yoke is broken. Not so it affects the yoke, but broken nevertheless and I attribute it to either the shipping to me, or the shipping when I moved from the US to Germany.

Based on that, I would go with the simujabs.  At least if something breaks, Pedro is responsive.
