After a pretty good summer it is time to start working on the sim again. It ran ok when last I flew it in the spring. I bought and installed Fly Tampa's Tampa scenery and on approach went into a slide show. I vowed that in the fall I would upgrade the computer so it would run better. As you read I am installing FSX Steam on the Gen 2 i7 2400 3.4ghz processor. 16gbs of ram and a 2 SSD drives. One for the OS and one for the sim. Also added a Nvidia GTX780 with 3gbs of ram. Think this will run it ok?

Hi Bob,
I started with the same basic set up as you describe and it worked fine with Prosim & P3D. I recently upgraded to a GTX980 G1 and the result is stunning, it is well worth buying the more expensive card. FlyTampa KaiTak went from 14/16FPS to 35FPS with absolutely zero stutter. Fly Tampa Sydney cruises along in the 30s sweetly, I've never had it so good! Cheers Gwyn
Boeing 737NG using Prepar3D v4.5, Prosim737, FDS SYS cards, FDS CDUs, CP Flight MCP Pro & EFIS Pro & Aerosim Solutions hardware of course!
Check out my website here -
http://www.aerosimsolutions.com.au

Ya Gwyn, Sam tells me the same thing. Maybe after WF.
