Saving a Flight

Hello all, I've got a quick question I'm having a problem with saving my flights. more like id like to start my flight @ a gate and start from there. I'm running FS9 and its in my start menu all computers boot up and FS starts, I cant get a gate to come up. I've saved flights, I've set them as Default . What am I missing ?? any help is welcome thanks
