Hi Guys,

I have finally got the Sim and 6dof Motion Platform both interfaced and running together, with the motion platform wiring and harnessing finalized.   Testing shows that all is functioning correctly.   Now I can proceed to build the steel Upper Platform and Flight Deck.   Once those assemblies are completed, I will move the Sim from its current static location, and position it on top of the 6dof motion platform.  Below are a couple of photos showing the progress...

Regards,
Mike

Nice work Mike!  We need to have a simbuild event when it is time to put the shell on the platform.  Helping hands of knowledge are always good. :)

Thanks for the comments guys.   A Sim Build Fest...  Now that is a good idea.  I'll keep you posted on when I'll be installing the Nose Section.

As a side note...   I just finished a flight from KLGA to KCHS with the motion platform active.   It is interesting to see the motion cues active - especially approaching Charleston Airport where the hurricane winds and heavy rains are still quite active.  I flew the approach with ActiveSky Next providing the real-time weather realism, significant crosswind and breaking out at 200 feet - a nail bitter all the way down to the ground.   Give it a try today...
