Hey everyone!  Looking for some advice.

As I've mentioned before, I want to get up to speed on Arduino.  I'm getting ready to take off to Asia for about a month and want to keep occupied in my free time.  Unfortunately I can't lug along a bunch of stuff this trip so I was wondering if anyone had any experience with an Arduino Simulator that allows me to learn about programming without hooking up hardware.

I know they exist but not sure which one gives the best capabilities and will allow me to use my "getting started with Arduino" book and use software breadboards/circuits/leds and a simulated Uno card.

Thanks!

Hi Warren,

I used this one http://www.virtronics.com.au/Simulator-for-Arduino.html

Works very well and steps through the code one line at a time, also gives a graphic representation of the board showing the pins that are active etc.

The only drawback with simulators is that you can't simulate the comms to FSX etc, although the serial monitor can be used as a substitute in the meantime.
