I used to praise this company due to their unique ability of letting end-users create their own gauges (An endless supply of gauges)

But, because they only catered to the touch-screen community, I had to cease and desist my praise and walk away. (After all.. how many of us use touch screens? Anyone?) And every 6 months or so I'd send them an email espousing the virtues of adding hardware capability. It all fell on deaf ears until SI emailed their entire customer base asking for suggestions for their next product. (The email hinted slightly at possible financial difficulties.)

I piped in and said "99.9% of your potential customer base uses real hardware. Only flight schools use touchscreens."

They listened!

SimInnovations is also ditching their Java engine in favor of OpenGL.

It will also run on a Raspberry Pi....
