Hello.

I might have a opportunity for a CockpitSimParts MIP. But i am not sure of the Quality. I personally think Simworld has the best panels, but they only sell plug&plan panels.

Does anyone know how CockpitSimParts is in quality up against Simworld, Flyengravity, FDS?

It is superimportant that the panel is 100% scale.

jackpilot

They basically all are to scale
(Quality of various vendors  has been discussed here, use search.)
Quality is a subjective factor
What is high quality for some does not meet criteria of others.
Price is a good indicator but it all depends on your budget and you have to compare apples with apples (ex: backlightable and backlighted are worlds apart)
Also feedback on the vendors reactivity has to be considered. If you have to send 100 emails to get a vague idea of a tentative shipping date...avoid!
The best scenario, see the parts "in the flesh" and compare with others.
This being said I have seen good comments on  CockpitSimParts and the Quality/price ratio is apparently very favorable.

I heard that its good value for what you pay. Would like ifsomeone that owns one would comment if they think it looks good. :)

The 2 main things i saw as negatives in the video was the plastic/acrylic backplates, if you are looking to use locking switches they flex quite a bit.
Also what the hell is "ANTIAICE"?? Not just a mistake on the panel, as it was in the drawings they show on screen.

I guess if you can get it for the right price, then go for it. It all depends what you are happy with

kurt-olsson

Their v5 is out with correct spelling :) and it has aluminum backside just to prevent flexing.

Hm FDS has an option to buy their MIP with panels only... i think i will shoot for it as the backlighting is a pain in most cases...

jackpilot

Besides the IBL panels, their MIP.2.0 provides you with a scale aluminum structure with proper angles and dimensions, which can save you dozens of hours trying to get it right with MDF or other heavy building material.
Check also comparable products .
As Mick said, the metal  backer is also a very important feature (thickness and rigidity)

I have OEM and FDS panels and sometimes I use the OEM hardware in the FDS panels.
