OC CDU v3 & VasFMC

I am trying to get a simple and cheap FMC set up in my DC-9 sim.  I have an OC CDU (v3) and VasFMC v2.1, and everything appears that it's going to work the way I want.  I am stuck, however, in getting the CDU keypresses to register in FSUIPC.

I have an SIOC script which registers all of the keypresses with the SIOC monitor, but they won't show up in the key presses tab of FSUIPC.  I have opened the IOCP port in VasFMC and SIOC, and everything appears to be connected.  I am wondering if anybody knows of a script that will make this work, or one that I can use to bypass FSUIPC altogether, or if I am headed in the wrong direction?
